How do I become a GAL volunteer?

Becoming a volunteer requires a commitment on your part to serve children. In order to become a volunteer with the Hamilton County GAL Program, you must:

complete a 32-hour training course consisting of evenings and weekends.
submit to a criminal records check.
complete 12 hours of continuing education each year.
have the time available to make contact with families and children, and to review documentation in order to interview and investigate a case assigned to you.
be able to attend court hearings if required during your case.
be able to travel to homes and facilities.
see your case through from start to finish.

The children deserve committed volunteers!
